Sammy came for a sleepover last night. He has been soooo easy. What I have learnt so far:
-He travels great in the boot of my car. No barking, no jumping around, he just sits and looks out of the window.
-He is very calm in the house. As expected he just plods around, sits or lays down.
-He does not beg when people are eating
-He is house trained
-He likes having a brush
-He doesn't mouth and takes treats everso gently
-He likes being stroked and fussed
-I haven't heard him bark once
-He settles in his bed at night and stays there
-He is not clingy. We were able to get on with chores round the house without him getting anxious. It was easy going room to room without him following.
-He does a typical AmBull-watchdog tour of the house before coming up the stairs to bed!
-He was great being walked around the block, just mooching around, no pulling on the lead.
-He is not food possessive
-He snores like a fog horn
Sammy doesn't ask for a lot. Just a cosy dog bed. Some fuss. He is fine with short walks, preferably not in the rain or on mud!
Please consider Sammy, he is an older bigger dog but so affable and calm. He is a chilled out dude but does need his forever home.
I would take him in a heartbeat if I could. I can attest to how wonderful older Ambulls are, having had one myself in the past.
