Treacle's Story: Treacle was found abandoned and unclaimed within a Welsh council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Treacle is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Treacle was in boarding kennels near Gatwick whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Treacle's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: Please can you help any Welsh dogs our pounds are bursting:

" Treacle, young female Lurcher, came in from the pound in a horrific state, now looking great. Good with children and dogs. " Lianne WestWalesPoundies

Treacle is a dream to walk! She's incredibly calm on the lead, not at all pushy, very responsive to her name. There was a lot going on today - kids, boats, prams, other dogs, trains, ducks - Treacle wasn't shaken by any of it. She was extra cuddly; we had a sit down by the river for about twenty minutes, just having a snuggle and watching the world go by. An absolute angel who has a lot of love to give <3

Treacle is a sweetheart. She loves a cuddles and walks really nicely on the lead. She walked with Louise this morning, accompanied by Amber and I. Amber loves having another dog to walk with and she was immediately friendly with Treacle and both girls were very polite with each other.

we walked treacle with colt on monday - v easy to get out and once out it felt like you had no dog on the end of you leads - she is v laid back and takes her time slowly wending her way thru the woods having lots of good sniffs along the way and on returning we sat outside for a few cuddles and treats she really loves a bit of affection - overall a v nice quiet dog

Treacle is a lovely sweet girl, who enjoys a walk at no rush at her own pace - she loves smelling flowers and a cuddle! We enjoyed walking her both Saturday and Sunday, she's very easy to get out of the kennel and not bothered about other dogs on a walk the walk at all. She's very kind and would make a lovely addition to any family!

I took Treacle out for the first time today, what a lovely friendly girl. She walks at a nice easy pace stopping to sniff new smells on the way. Such a gentle soul, I am so pleased to see she will shortly be off to her forever home. love4.gif
