It was lovely to meet you both at Gatwick kennels ( I was with Zippy) when you arrived to meet your new companion. Bailey is a smashing little boy and I am so pleased that you decided to take him HOME. :thanks.gif: It's great to hear that Bailey is settling in well. :havefun.gif: Be happy Bailey love4.gif xx

Bailey doing very well, the vet has seen him a couple of times and his upset stomach issue is now on the mend, his ears are gradually getting better too. He has put on some weight, which is no surprise as
he has a very healthy appetite! Loves his walks, has had a run in with a pair of loose dogs in our village which was unfortunate as he did respond in true patterdale style,no real harm done but to be sure we
do now muzzle him in the village and where there is a high concentration of other dogs. He is quite happy with the muzzle, its just us faffing about putting it on thats the problem! Seems very interested in birds, so was in his element at Rutland Water with all the wild fowl there, he is a joy to walk though as you can tell how happy he is when he is out and about. Looking forward to taking him to the Lake District, don't think he will have any problem in climbing the hills!

Great to hear Bailey's health is improving, I'm sure much of it was due to kennel stress. Such a great boy, enjoying his lovely new life with you!

Bailey is doing really well, his ears are now fully healed and he has gained weight and muscle, so looks in fine form. Loves his walks, does get super excited though when the lead goes on but hopefully he will eventually calm down...... He enjoys the garden and still obsessed with his squeaky ball, think we are now on number 3. We have had to put up some more fencing as we underestimated his jumping powers and agility, can jump effortlessly onto the window sills and does! No problem feeding him, although he will eat anything that moves, and makes flying leaps at the wasps, bees etc, quite partial to the odd spider or ladybird. He is usually tired out by about 8pm and likes to be covered up completely with a blanket, and then settles down and sleeps all night, bliss! There are a few issues with him, he hates the postman, and vice versa, and he is ok with some dogs and then not with others, so its tricky sometimes to know how he will react, so still work in progress. He is generally very obedient though, and we have seen a real improvement in him over the weeks, he just gets over excited at times which makes him a bit of a handful, he is a patterdale after all. There is however never a dull moment with him, he certainly keeps us amused and on our toes!
