Graham you worked it out and a picture as well! Laughed when you said he is learning to Let go of that toy. We have now completely combed the paddocks here of stuffing from King's toys..he always chose a toy on his way in and demolished it in 15 mins! Fortunately he doesn't treat his home in the same way! So lovely to know he is beginning to put on weight

King 140319.JPG
Hi Everyone
Thought I had better post a "King" update.
He has managed to put on about 3 kilos since the kennels, although still looks thin. But is eating and drinking very well. Even though you can still see his ribs, when he is running he is very athletic and fit.
At the moment he is getting over a tooth extraction so most of his chewing toys have been removed (he is not happy about that).
I have had some issues with King around toy possession (he does not want to give them up). This is a problem, and if he sees a stranger holding something that resembles a toy (lead, ball thrower etc.) he will attempt to jump up and take it from their hand. and he also has occasional problems with pulling on the lead. When it was very windy the other day on his walk he got very scared and panicky and pulled all the time because of the noise.
He is such a lovely dog that he deserves to regain his "good energy" and be let out for runs off the lead but at the moment it is not safe to do this. So I sometimes take him to a private enclosed field where he can run and jump. Going today after posting this.
However I have just got in touch with a dog behaviourist who I hope can give me the correct pointers to be able to help him.
When not pulling and barking he is such a big softy and would be an ideal pet for an oldie like me or a family with a kids but first he has to learn how integrate with a world outside the kennels.
As I am typing this he is watching me and disagreeing with most of what I have said "just want to have fun"!
We March On!
