Rescue Remedies dogs that have found their forever homes
Roxie settling well, still has a few health problems but they don't seem to be phasing her. The cheeky side of her came out today when she tried to Steal Reg's all time favourite biscuits. Jammie Dodgers!!! She adores him, abs we do her. Thanks for all the good wishes love , hugs, and wet kisses from us xx
It was lovely to witness the homing of Roxie on Sunday. The perfect end to a perfect day (well the weather could have been better!) Roxie will have a wonderful new life with Penny and Reg. Be happy Roxie You have landed on your paws with your new mum and dad. xx
We've had Roxie two weeks now, and she is all recovered from the chest infection, operation, and she has not been sick for over 10 days. She was a good as gold when Steven our vet removed the stitches. We still have a few problems esp with her toilet training, she hardly goes, she tends to go over night in the kitchen. In saying that we have had a couple of clean nights and she has been weeing in the garden, fingers crossed we may have cracked it. Roxie has met the neighbours and the children of all ages, and has behaved beautifully, they all love her. Jess (the youngest is 2.5years) is brilliant with her. I thought a longer walk than Reg and I could give her might help with her toilet problems, so paid a walker to take her out, she loved him, they got on well and the aim was to use him for group walking to socialise Roxie. He bought his dog to meet her yesterday. not a good idea, he barked and she flew, nipped at him twice and scared the poor little soul. So Roxie went off for an hours walk and i looked after the little fella thinking we could try again when she was calmer. no hope. Told the walker perhaps we are expecting too much too soon so leaving it a month. In saying that we met my sister Tina with her little rescue Walter. Roxie wanted to play but she was a bit too boisterous for Walt, we did some parallel walking, Roxie calmed down and they were lovely walking together. All in all things are heading in the right direction, she loving, cuddly and very obedient indoors, but not so good out lol. Will pictures later. love to all at rescue xxx
Sorry some are sideways, don't know what I did wrong xx
Thanks for updating Penny. Sounds like Roxie is a bit of a character! I'm glad she has recovered, not sure that would have happened in kennels so well. She looks well rested now.

Down at Elmer for a break, Roxie was very stressful in the car. Wondered as her bed was in it if she thought she was being taken back. In saying that she has settle well into the chalet and loving the extra walks. Xx, and sitting in the sun. Xxx
Sounds lovely. ..
Roxie not been very well, her breathing is very rasping and sometimes she almost stops. I have to shake and breath into her. We have been to the vets twice, antibiotics and steroid injections haven’t helped. Yesterday we did another trip and much as Steven doesn’t want to we have booked her in for x rays and camera down her throat next Thursday. As he feels it could be her vocal chords or voice box. She is fine in herself, so hopefully nothing sinister , but will keep everyone informed. Xx
