Dear Coco what a sweet terrier she is ...enjoyed a long walk this afternoon. Meets other dogs easily and typical Patterdale stances which captivate the heart

Julie woke up this morning and found herself on terrierrescue looking at the dog of her dreams. 5 hours later that dream came true. Our thanks to Julie and Garvin for choosing to be there for little Coco: They as any Patterdale owners have admitted it will be a steep learning curve, but they have a wealth of dog ownership to aid them and as you see lots of doggie friends. Terriers either infuriate you or "in fur- and rate you"! Terrier people see it as the latter terms.

Arrangements for photos ..Coco spoilt her copy book at the end which then involved Julie taking her for a run and she settled back. We like dogs to spoil their copy books at the homings so their owners see if they will step up to the plate.

Our thanks to Chris and friends at the Rescue centre who saved her and latterly Adam for offering her time and ofcourse all Coco's devotees.

Thank you to Lynne and Dianna for their quick response, advice and time. We are besotted with Coco and she is settling down very well - loves to sit with Gavin on the sofa. As I type this she is curled up on my lap.

Cannot believe it has only been one week since Coco came home with us, it seems she has been here much longer, she is such a part of our lives. We all start puppy socialisation classes next Wednesday and basic training too, it has been a while since we have had such a young dog and the classes will do us all good.

It's six weeks since Coco joined our family, seems a lot longer, here's a quick update of our lives since Coco arrived.
We have adjusted to having a young dog again and found more energy from somewhere to keep up with her. We all enjoy our walks along the beach, Coco even enjoys a paddle now and then, we walk in woods and fields at least two or three times a week so that the smells change and it keeps Coco happy.

We attended puppy classes to socialise her and to stop the tendency to lunge at other dogs, we have that sorted....well almost.
Coco goes everywhere with us, luckily she loves the car and would rather be with us than at home. She does stay at home one morning a week for a couple of hours and copes well - along with a treat ball and hidden toys to keep her amused.
Coco is very good with our grandsons (3 & 5) and they spend ages throwing toys for her, the upside being that it wears them out but not Coco!
I just need to teach her to ask to be let out in the garden, we have had a couple of accidents but we will get there in the end.
