Here's Bruce being visited recently by volunteers Mel and Bob:
Re: Big Bruce Staffie DofB 2010 East Grinstead
So sorry we haven't updated Bruce's page but neither of us is very technical! Yesterday was Bruce's 2nd Gotcha anniversary and as we have some enforced time we thought we'd see if we could let people know how he is.
I couldn't say the 2 years since we got him have been easy but Bruce has changed so much over the time, everybody we know says he's a different dog and much more relaxed. He's very much a Daddy's boy and follows Ian everywhere until around 7pm each evening when he takes himself off to one of his chairs and doesn't want anything to do with us for the rest of the evening.
He has always been good with other dogs and people, but not really playful. His absolutely favourite game now is playing with his tug, which he will pull for hours if somebody's the other end. He also loves chasing his red squeaky ball, one of his prizes from last August fun day, up and down the hall. It doesn't have a squeak anymore and he's chewed off both handles but it's still chewable and good for a game. He is very loving and we have lots of cuddles, he's quite obedient but has the odd 'free thinking' moment. He's looking older now, much greyer around the muzzle and a bit stiff in the evenings. His leg doesn't bother him and his itching is almost 100% under control. He weighs 31 Kg which our vet thinks is about right. We think he's nearly 10 but nobody who sees him can believe this. People we meet on walks either say 'isn't he gorgeous' or 'he's a lump isn't he'. I'm going to try to load a few pictures, I hope it works. He sends his love to everyone who knows him and looked after him and hopes everyone is staying well.

Oh BB, living the life you deserve. I wish that Steve, one of your favourite walkers was still around to see you now, but I'm sure he's looking down from heaven and smiling. He can truly rest in peace, knowing that you are safe, his bestest boy.

Dear Nicky and Ian let us know that they had lost their beloved and were trying to come to terms with the huge hole Big Bruce left in their lives.
We are all so grateful to Nicky and Ian for being Big Bruce's world and sharing such wonderful times and holidays together. They were together every waking moment...and now Big Bruce has gone to have a long sleep in Bliss and grateful of the loved shared.
