His Story: Hux was homed to his family at 1 yr after being owned by an elderly couple and kept in a chicken run. He has been cherished for 4 yrs.
Salient Points: Lived with other dogs harmoniously but his mate and offspring turn against him in the summer. Well trained and always loved. Keen hunting instincts, so if off lead placed on muzzle.
Advert: Huxley is a brilliant 5 yr old Fell terrier. He has had his life turned upside down twice now, through no fault of his own. 5 yrs is a lovely age as he has matured skills and that "energy" is beginning to tone down. he has hopefully 9-10 yrs ahead to look forwards to. A loving, sociable and well trained dog. He is high spirited and 'is what he is a terrier!' He has keen working instincts so needs to be in a terrier-proofed garden (6' panel fencing) and no cats or small furries. He is used to living with a Jack Russell bitch and his off spring. The pack turned against him in the summer and so now needs a home where he can enjoy affection; lovely walks and privileges as he is so worthy of e.g. likes to sleep on the sofa and run beside the bicycle!
Huxley is very special, and truly loved by his human family. Sadly his canine family have taken to attacking him and no end of attempts to reverse this have achieved the inclusive life he deserves. Here is the list commands he understands "Sit, down, wait, stay, off, leave, finished, bedtime" The family that offers this lad a home is going to be so over the moon, provided they themselves are 'terrier people' and delight in his spirit and gifts. Huxley is still with his family in Glos.
