Re: Dylan Staffie DOB ?2012 Cannock Chase
Dylan had a very busy day yesterday. He has been to his first Staffie Rescue annual autumn walk around Rudyard Lake in Leek, Staffordshire. Although not officially a NSBTR rescue dog, he was very welcome. He was so good, we were very proud of him. It was a lot for him to take in. He was surrounded by strangers and lots of dogs he didn’t know but, I have to say…………….he was the best behaved Staffie there!
He was also the biggest Staffie there!! We realised how big he actually was compared to all the others!!
It was a lovely day. Everyone gathers in the morning (it can be quite noisy!) and we all head off for a 5 mile walk around the lake and through the woods, then it’s back to the garden at Hotel Rudyard for beer and a raffle. Dylan got his goody bag and a rosette for completing the walk.
Here are some photos of his day. You may spot a high viz flag on his lead. It says “Caution” and “Please respect my space”. We didn’t actually need this though as our friends from NSBTR had already heard all about Dylan and knew not to reach down and touch him. Everyone was looking forward to meeting him. He was even described as “a bonnie lad”.
He was shattered by the time we got home. Once he was back home I think the day waved over him. He fell asleep with his head in my lap a few minutes after we got back and started snoring loudly!

We went on a walk in the Lake District with the NSBTR many moons ago with our first staffy Winston (passed) and remember the noise at the start, it built to a crescendo until we moved off and then it was lots of staffy huffing and puffing like little steam trains. Looks like Dylan had a good time and he is reet bonnie!
