Homing Requirements: Scoobie needs his 3rd family to be there for him and take the rough with the smooth. He can get excited meeting other dogs and needs further socialization to settle. He also need a staged programme to acclimatize him to enjoying his own company and being central. Secure garden and exit management taken as read for a Patterdale.

His Story: ScoobieDoo was taken on by his current owner, who now feels out of their depth with a Patterdale. They actually have the right components for him; he is an only pet, lives in a low dog density walking area and they have the ability to take him to work. They need a more dog fluent companion than Scoobie is. He needs more occupation and confidence behind his management. Scooby is now in boarding kennels near Gatwick. Scooby is neutered, vax'd and chipped.

Advert: Scoobie needs a busy schedule with down time alone periods where he learns to be in his own company. He is young and very trainable and would enjoy the mental challenge of training and a stepped up exercise regime. Scooby gets excited seeing other dogs and may need a specific programme to support him with parallel walking companions so he learns to settle in the company of other dogs. In the home Scoobie is a delight - affectionate and entertaining.

Scoobie is a Patterdale, a black Fell terrier, in his second year and he still has a lot of energy to explore and bring under his command. Fell walking would suit this 'Fella' or the next best challenge, like running beside a gentle bike ride or a jog to allow him to be out and about and not focused or avoiding dogs, just getting a sense of territory, enjoying the feel of the wind, smells in the air and the joy of motion!

Referral Details: Scoobie owners did him a favour by offering him a home when his first family couldn't keep him. They were awoken to the needs of a young terrier. Young terrier adults need a lot of time, forgiveness and occupation. We are helping to find a family with time for Scoobie who can help him catch up on socialisation.
