Homing Requirements: Fudge needs a dog experienced family to steer him and with their support he will be a well balanced dog. Fudge could live with another dog if the owners have managed 2 dogs together before or he could be an only dog. Not for cats. Secure garden would be a delight for him.

His Story: Fudge's family tried to give him away to anyone, then took him to the vet to be “put to sleep”! The vet refused, took him in and Niall the Dog Warden found an emergency foster place for 3 weeks with 3 other dogs and cats but he was not trustworthy with cats and so came into boarding kennels in Gatwick, West Sussex. Fudge is neutered, vaccinated and chipped.

Advert: Fudge has lots of energy and enjoys playing fetch. He can be randomly assertive with other dogs on walks, so he has to stay on the lead but has never bitten and is easily moved on. He lived with caged small furries and 3 dogs with no problem. There is a bit of jostling with an alpha male spaniel, but normal dog interaction. He is not for a home with cats. He does not steal food and his housetraining is improved. He slept downstairs but would love to be upstairs. He snores like a champion! He likes the car and stays in the boot behind the dog guard.

Fudge is a larger Staffie, about Collie size and a golden brown brindle. He is very affectionate, although he did flinch when stroked initially but he has gained confidence. He is bouncy, as with a young bull breed. Fudge is sweet!

Original Referral Details: Hi Lynne,
Fudge's story - he is 18 months old, neutered, vaccinated and chipped. He lived with a family who decided they did not want to keep him and after not being able to give him away to anyone, took him to the vet to be pts. The vet refused and took him in. He is a larger staffie, about collie size. Fostered for awhile with my children and other dogs but not for cats. Hx
