Lola has come back today as she was really focused on the resident tortoise. It is very sad as she did really well in the home and being walked outside with her muzzle on as she moves forwards gaining confidence in the doggie community.

Lola won star dog of the day award from me today. She was fantastic in her kennel letting me put on her muzzle and leads. She then walked beautifully and enjoyed watching the squirrels and birds in the woods. We then went down to the stream when I suddenly heard a lady calling Toby from behind me. Toby, a boxer, then jumped down onto the bank and into the lake to join Lola for a drink and a swim. Lola had her muzzle on and I had shortened her leads as I knew she could be dog reactive. Toby was very polite in giving Lola plenty of room and he didn't get up in her face. Lola was amazing. She didn't bark, lunge, growl or react in anyway. She was very happy to continue having a drink and watching Toby. I was so impressed with her, seeing as Toby's appearance was a bit of a surprise to the both of us!! I definitely think that she can continue to improve her doggy skills with more dog friendly, very relaxed dogs like Toby. Once Toby had decided he'd had enough, we cracked on with the rest of our walk. I took her in the paddock and she did some amazing zoomies! We had planty of cuddles and kisses and then back into her kennel. She will make a lovely addition to a family that can continue to support her and give her plenty of love.

I made friends with Lola today, so she welcomes me at her kennel now. What a sweetheart this girl is. After trying to rub her muzzle off on my leg a few times, she settled to her walk and off we went. Lola can be strong on the lead, especially along the pavements, but relaxed into a loose lead along the bridle paths. A very loud motorbike roaring past disturbed her a bit, but other than that, I couldn't fault her. She was very friendly with people we met, one couple were very taken with her manners and affection. It was very busy everywhere and Lola did not react to other dogs, cyclists, horses and traffic.very soft, gentle girl who seems shy and craves affection.

Hi Everyone!

Lola has been in our family for two weeks now, and it is safe to say that we all adore her! She is so loving, caring, and playful. She is a very cheeky girl and very eager to please.

It has most definitely been a learning curve for us, but we are all so beyond happy with her progress. Lola now 'gives paw' when asked (it is adorable). She loves playing football in the garden with us. We purchased a boomer ball so that she couldn't bite through it. She loves her Kongs when the family has dinner and she is very good when we are sitting at the table. She loves a cuddle at the end of the day on the sofa as well. Lola sleeps downstairs and we do not hear a peep during the night! In the morning, she greets you at the gate with a wagging tail looking for lots of fuss.

We have been so impressed with how she is doing on her walks. Lola is having some very positive experiences with other dogs when walking. She wags her tail and sniffs around them. She is now walking along side us and not in front which is excellent! She waits at a crossing and at the side of the road. We are all so proud of her.

Although she has only been with us for two weeks, it feels like she has been here with us all along. We are so pleased that she is settling in with us and trusting us more every day.

Thank you so much Rescue Remedies for giving us the opportunity to give Lola a forever home. She has exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to continue to watch her grow in our family. love4.gif

We will definitely be giving more updates for you all.
