Logan's Story: Logan has been owned since a puppy but due to a marriage split. Logan has had to move in with a JRT female and a cat. Logan isn't good around the cat and also isn't coping with the split and barks whenever the remaining owner leaves, and he is due to start work out the house soo. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Logan is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Logan was met off transport by Manuela and Andrew who turned out to be his adopters Gatwick.

If interested in rehoming one of our dogs, the first step is to complete and submit our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. We do not discuss dogs without a homing questionnaire submission. You must be ready and sadly due to unprecedented interest, we will only be able to contact you if we have a suitable dog. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £200. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Logan's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information:
Hi Lynne do you have space for this boy? He is a hand in actually but they are desperate to get rid and i don’t have any space. I am just worried what might happen to him if we can’t move him fast enough

Logan is a 9 year old Terrier. They have had him since a pup. He isn't neutered or vaccinated, although the owner has said they will start vaccinations. He is chipped and housetrained.
They didn't have children, but Logan has been around a 2 &. 6 year old, on occasion, with no issues. Logan is great on the lead. He will lie down when dogs are passing. They don't allow him to run free, in case he bolts. He loves to play with soft toys and is happy to share them. No allergies.

His owners have recently split. They are both living with respective parents. Logan is living with husband, his parents, the resident female JRT and a cat. This is one of the issues. He does not like the cat. Husband have worked from home for the past 18 months, but is due to return to the office. Logan has shown signs of separation anxiety, by way of constant barking. He is not a chewer. Mx

Logan comes into our Rescue on the 15th October 2021

After time to get to know each other and a walk with Teddy Manuela and Andrew took him home to see how he gets on Charny their 17 year old Rescue feline companion!

It must have been a very difficult day for Logan yesterday, leaving his family behind, spending so much time in the car and then meeting entirely new people - and he handled it all beautifully well!

Seeing trains and the train ride home were very exciting, I think that was something new for him!

As you can see, once home he found it difficult to get comfortable 🤣🤣

All going well so far, he's a real cuddle bug. He occasionally gets a bit worried which means a few barks, but nothing unexpected and he calms down quickly. We had a nice long walk in Leechpool Forest this morning where we met both on and off lead dogs and he behaved perfectly, he does actually just lie down to meet them. He's quite a fast one, so I'll have to bring my running shoes for our next walk.

It was a pleasure to meet Logan today and he certainly lived up to expectations and beyond!

Lovely lovely boy who took it all in his stride arriving with Geoff whom he had just met for his journey, then a walk with Geoff and into a travel crate and sharing companionship with me in the front of the dog mobile.

Easy to manage at the vets and they neutered him, checked him over and did a dental with no teeth removal necessary.

So on arrival back at the kennels Geoff was there smiling and receiving his friend for the last leg of his journey HOME!
