My first walk with Tigga in ages. He makes me laugh. He was adamant which route he wanted to take - which seemed to involve spending a lot of time in the long grass getting belly rubs.
He’s an affectionate dog, putting his paws on my knee in the paddock for a head scratch.

Great photos and words about this characterful auburn (well some would say mottled - he has changed colour) little boy.

Buchan Park for our Saturday walk with the lovely Tigga, he is so well behaved around people and on/off lead dogs unlike at the kennels where he will react by barking at some of the dogs, he is obviously more relaxed on our walks now. He is also getting a little calmer in the car but given the opportunity will still chew, if he gets frustrated for example loosing a toy he is playing with.
Tigga watching the wildlife The obligatory swim In the last couple of weeks Tigga has learnt how to hold 2 balls in his mouth, which he now insists on doing. It does complicate ball games as he cannot understand why when a third ball is thrown he cannot pick it up. Although Tigga is quite happy to come in the house and sit on a chair in the conservatory for a short while , I wanted to see how he would behave in a part of the house he has never entered before. Initially he was slightly stressed walking up and down, as I had also shut the outside doors but I think this was more to do with the fact he still had a ball in his mouth. When I took the ball away he calmed and was quite happy to sit with me on the sofa and next to my husband on the chair. Given it has probably been a while since he has been in a home environment I think he did very well. Obviously he would need to learn toilet routines but I cannot see why this could not be achieved. He is bright, affectionate and loving when he feels secure and knows you.

He just looks so happy and comfortable in your home. The trick with the two tennis balls is brilliant, he looks like a cartoon character!

Decided to go back to Earlswood Common on Saturday as it promised to rain (it didn't), Tigga seemed delighted to be back there and promptly rolled in the grass. Whatever he could smell must have been amazing as he really tried to capture the odour.
Tigga off exploring After all that rolling and exploring it was time for a cuddle Tigga's favourite is a game of ball he never seems to run out of energy and it is always the first thing he does when coming home with me, goes to his toy box to find the tennis balls.
No day is complete without homemade doggie banana and peanut butter ice cream, which he loved. Looking forward to our next walk.

Such a picture of happiness, what a brilliant character and he seems to be getting funnier and funnier each trip out.

It is just so heart warming to see the bond between Tigga and Lynda and her husband, David. He is a dog who has not always been easy to get out and to know but once you make the effort wow does he change. Thank you Lynda - what you have given and continue to give is a testament to Tigga - take the time to know him and to allow him to trust you and the world is his oyster!

A new destination on Saturday Priory Park in Reigate, as Tigga had been so good around people and other dogs, I wanted to see how he would be in a very popular location, he did not disappoint and behaved brilliantly. He didn't even try to get in the pond which is out of bounds to dogs.
Given Tigga has not been in a home environment for quite a while I think he is doing brilliantly and with a bit of training will be a great friend to share life with.
A climb up the very muddy hill we reached a monument which Tigga duly inspected. . Back down the hill Tigga decided to do his to the Manor born pose. . Not one to be deterred by no dogs in pond rule, Tigga found the biggest puddle to satisfy his love of water. . Back to mine for the normal game of ball and to spend time in the house, to get Tigga used to this environment bless him he had a small accident which was quickly mopped and with a bit of toilet training will solve. I think he is beginning to relax as I sat down to have a sandwich, he was like a seagull swooping in to pinch the bottom half. I think he knew this was not acceptable behavior as he quickly came to me for head rubs.
. Finally a lay down before heading back to the kennels. .Given Tigga has not been in a home environment for quite a while I think he is doing brilliantly and with a bit of training will be a great friend to share life with.
