Thank you everyone for your lovely comments. Our Eddie is a cracking dog, and any little behavioural issues are beginning to settle. He’s brilliant at walking with our other three terriers, and actually walks in a straight line (the other three go sideways and backwards a lot of the time!). We’re doing walks of 1.5 hours most days (we live part-time in Somerset). There are not many dogs in the countryside here, but those we do meet tend to be huge and off lead, but with polite owners who put them on a lead when they see us. Eddie has gone from barking madly at every dog we see, attacking our trousers and boots through frustration, to maybe a short woof or mutter, but usually no sound at all when we see other dogs. The rest of the time he’s pretty quiet. He and Luca and Cracker are still arguing a bit, but slowly settling down. He’s looking a bit slimmer and fitter, and he is enjoying his life with us and our other RR dogs. We’re very grateful to Lynne and everyone else involved with Rescue Remedies, and hope 2022 is a great year for you all, and especially for the dogs.

Our Eddie is continuing to be a great little terrier. He’s been with us for eleven weeks now, and for the past fortnight there has been no snapping at the other dogs at all. I think he feels more confident and secure, and knows that he’s a proper member of our pack. He’s very good at keeping to his end of our bed, and recognises that the other three dogs have their own places too. Eddie has done brilliantly really; it must be so confusing for these dogs going into a home after being in kennels (in Eddie’s case two years in kennels), and very hard being expected to live with a resident dog they don’t know. Anyone who successfully adopts a dog knows that it can take months for them to settle, and you just have to hold your nerve!
Eddie a really steady chap in temperament, and is enjoying his quiet life with us, and we’re so so pleased and proud to have him.

This is so lovely to read. Who would have thought it? Eddie settling into a household with 3 other dogs, 4 cats and more than one person in the household? All credit to Eddie's amazing new family who recognized what a lovely little dog he is, that he would need time to settle and get over problems and who were prepared to put everything into making this little dog's life so happy and settled. Thank you Lucy and William.

Lovely Edward continues to do well with us. He and Cracker still have the occasional argument, but they also play and chase each other round the garden. He has been smacked round the chops by Brian the cat so is learning to steer clear!
