Nellie's Story: Nellie was found abandoned and unclaimed within a NW England council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Nellie is now neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Nellie was in boarding kennels near Guildford whilst awaiting her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Nellie is such a sweet, friendly little girl. She is recovering from her spay but was keen to go out for a walk. She is a typical terrier explorer but easy to walk on the lead and keen to make friends with all she meets.

there are lots of star patties at the kennels at the moment and nellie can be added to the list - after coming out she spotted roco and immediately wanted to say "hello" happy to lead roco on first part of walk she was v pleased when later he walked alongside- first impressions on nellie were v favourable

what a sweet placid dog nellie is -very pleased to see roco was her walking partner she casually said hello to roco and started her sniffing routine and we set off for a v friendly walk - she really is the most easy dog to walk having many sniffing stops which gives roco time to jump up for a cuddle while he waits patiently for nellie to move on - we met many other dogs but on two walks now with these two we are yet to hear a bark - nellie really is a star pattie

What an absolutely dear little dog. Nellie was sitting quietly but expectantly as I walked towards her pen to take her out for a lovely walk. She is so well behaved, so gentle - a very well behaved little terrier. I have a feeling she won't be in kennel care for long. Good luck gorgeous girl. x

nellie went out today with her usual "date" handsome roco and as always they got on really well - she can be quite lively if roco starts to get a lead on her and soon overtakes him but on the whole she is a v easy walk nellie is such a sweet well behaved pattie who is always a pleasure to walk and would make an ideal family dog

ADORABLE ALERT!

I met Nellie for the first time today and we had a walk around busy ole Guildford.
This girl has to be one of the happiest dogs I have ever spent time with! She is just fabulous.
She wasn’t fazed by anything and walked beautifully on a loose lead the whole time.
We did meet some pheasants that in true terrier style she was VERY interested in but otherwise she pottered by my side.
We met one of her on lead kennel friends who very rudely shouted at Nellie but she didn’t react at all - what a great girl.
Back in her kennel we had the loveliest cuddles - Nellie does love her people.
We then had a little game of fetch with a tennis ball that made Nellie even happier - if that’s possible.
A small but strong looking girl with a big heart and massive smile.
I’m just a bit in love with her.

Foster weekend woo.gif]

We have Nellie at home this weekend and she has been AMAZING. She travels really well in the car (just goes straight to sleep) and is house trained.

She is so playful and cute and the most affectionate dog. She slept in bed with us and snuggled up all night. She loves playing with tennis balls, and chewing on stuffed toys and ropes (will need some tougher ones than we have as she likes to rip them), but she hasn’t tried to chew anything other than what we gave her.

We’ve seen quite a few dogs on walks and she’s been really good - will say hello nicely and then moves away without a fuss. Typical terrier she has quite a high prey drive... the only times she pulls on the lead is if she sees a squirrel.

We love her and wish we didn’t have to take her back to kennels, but sure she won’t be there long as she is such an easy, cute and well behaved girl love4.gif
