Apollo's Story: Grew up in a family with 3 older children the youngest is 9. Great terrier but engaging with mouth with youngest who is now frightened of him. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Apollo is neutered, chipped, and fully vaccinated. Apollo is in boarding kennels near Guildford whilst awaiting his new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Apollo's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information: 21.07.19: Family called the trust relationship has broken down between the youngest child and Apollo and so Apollo is beginning to react to the son's nerves.

Apollo comes into our care on the 22nd July

What a handsome Patterdale, once out of his kennel Apollo settles, at first he was hesitant to walk, but with treats he soon began to walk with confidence. He is good at passing other dogs, no reaction, he would like to say hello. He takes treats very gently, Apollo would need a family to continue with basic training, he is a clever lad, so it would not take long. He is a loving lad and likes an ear cratch, please consider Apollo for his forever home Kiss of love.gif

Apollo really needs a forever home, he is getting stressed in kennels. Once out on his walk, he then settles, and takes an interest in his surroundings, he likes a sniff in the undergrowth. He is not reactive to other dogs, and enjoys a cuddle and treats. Please consider this little lad for his forever home Kiss of love.gif

Apollo was my first walk of the day, he was happy to be going out for a walk in the woods, he was a little hesitant at first, with encouragement he was happy to set off at a good pace. Being so young he would benefit from a family that will spend time training him 0077.gif 0077.gif

Baby boy....reminds me of Nero. He only arrived at Guildford yesterday and was very timid in his kennel, but as soon as he realised I was a friend he was all over me, totally desperate to be loved. We walked the grounds and had some playtime. He really is a lovely boy. He came face to face with staffie Diesel through the paddock gate and had an interested sniff but didn't growl or bark, same for Diesel. Perhaps Diesel could be his mentor / grandad substitute.
Here he is, sorry for the long video and excessive use of slo-mo
