We set off for the Peak District on Friday night in the traffic. Buddie is a creature of habit like most dogs so was off his food and not his usual settled self when we arrived on a farm at 11pm.
On Saturday we did a 12 mile walk. He enjoyed paddling in the stream and was on a bungee lead so could sniff about. He was exhausted when we got home and slept from 4pm to 8am the next day! Appetite back and a happy boy.
Today we did a really hilly walk with scrambling and cliff edges over the the dragon back. I was so impressed with him - we know he loves walking but he was just so responsive and slowed down and didn’t pull on a really steep decline. He walked up some incredibly steep bits and no sign of vertigo of course! He was interested but not too focussed on all the cows and sheep.
Here are some pictures of the last two days. What a versatile dog - London and the Peak District all in his stride!

Buddie has recovered from his exertions in the Peak District - but I will add a last photo of the fabulous weekend away.
This morning I came downstairs at 6:30 to bring him upstairs to bed until I got up. I looked in his bed and he was not there, panic, back door was not open so where was he? Turns out he was flat out and in a very deep sleep completely under his blanket but on top of his duvet! Relief and he realised I was there and came upstairs!
Cute as a button.

Our commitments have meant Buddie is back in kennels for a few weeks. I am sure he will love seeing his regular walkers. If he is not adopted we will take him back in foster. He has really settled and gained confidence. Such a lovely dog.

Nina and ian came to walk a few terriers today with no clear view of what dog they were looking for but once they met buddie there was only one dog they were interested in going home with and in three walks buddie showed what a star dog he can be demonstrating his back rolls and commando crawl and then jumping up to give his new mum a facewash and we wish buddie all the best in his new home
