Roddy seems to be having a lovely time, we adore him already, lovely and gentle, quietly affectionate little fell
This was Roddy last night ...
Roddy slept perfectly again
We headed out at 8 this morning for Roddys morning ‘business’ - where were staying has an enclosed dog run area which I checked out yesterday to double check the fencing - all was good - so Roddy and I headed there but very soon Roddy was ready to head back for his breakfast !
Then time to relax ... Doesn’t he just look amazing - off to the beach later, more updates for sure

Re: Roddy Fell Terrier DofB ?2008 On holiday up North!
It was a lovely day and everyone and their dog had decided to go for a walk on the beach !
Roddy does really well with space around other dogs, happy enough being with me on the beach but at the crowded cafe where every table had a doggy visitor too he decided he should talk to them all He’s funny he has quite a deep bark and not what you’d expect but a bit too chatty so he went to watch the world go by from a quieter bench with my mum whilst I finished my coffee !!! Don’t they look content
Roddy is very good in the car but at the moment doesn’t want to miss a thing ! So he likes to look out the windows,at least on mums lap he’s less wobbly when I drive along the little roads here !!! He did at last decide it was time to rest ...
But not for long ! We could see his little eyes closing but he wouldn’t rest his head bless !!! Too exciting this holiday lark !
This was in the supermarket car park, we were parked up - didn’t want you to think I was driving !!! ...

Sarah and your mum and dad for taking dear little Roddy on holiday. He seems to be taking it all in his stride, bless him. xx
Re: Roddy Fell Terrier DofB ?2008 On holiday up North!
Roddy really is taking it all in his stride Kim
Such a versatile boy, so adaptable, he’s been amazing and a quick learner - today he realised we’d be in and out of the car as we visited a few sights and relaxed beautifully in the car, happy to snooze and cuddle up to mum in the back - he was good yesterday but not quite so relaxed, 2nd day of similar outings and he had it sussed
His house training is impeccable- we don’t have a private garden where we’re staying so it’s lead on every time he wants to go outside. Not a single mistake by Roddy and he’ll tell me if he needs to go - barks at me to make me realise
Roddy does talk to you with his woofing! When we got back today it was just gone 5, well I thought I’d give it half an hour before giving him his dinner but Roddy has other ideas and talked (barked !) at me until I decided it was time now ! Well Roddy had said he was hungry !!!
We’ve had another lovely day, weather was amazing which improved stunning scenery even further
Started with a short drive (and a cuddle in the car for Roddy from mum ) to Hutton le hole, a very pretty village with a nice dog friendly coffee shop too Coffee shop stop : D

Oops, fell to sleep before I added all my photos last night, must be the Yorkshire air !!!
We went to Farndale which is apparently known as the daffodil dale - wow it was beautiful, each bank of the stream covered in flowering daffs, gorgeous - and very popular- and tonnes of dogs but all on lead so that was great. We all had a lovely time - Roddy did marvellously- a few barks at some dogs but very half hearted and no reaction to some of the calmer dogs - he was happy as larry walking alongside us, dogs in front, dogs behind but all minding their own business - I find Roddy a very easy boy to walk, he ambles next to you and delights in your company - we had a super walk - even better as mum could negotiate the path on her scooter
Here’s some pics ... Roddy is a

Re: Roddy Fell Terrier DofB ?2008 On holiday up North!
You’d never believe from these pics that none of us had ever spent any time with Roddy before I whisked him up the motorway last Thursday evening - absolutely testament to Roddys ability to fit right in and thrive in a home environment - he’s a perfect holiday companion
More pics from out walk yesterday - sooo lucky with the weather But there was a chill in the air so Roddy sported a nice quilted jacket to keep him warm, very dapper indeed Roddy On a bench with me and dad before we turned round to head back the way we’d come ... After our walk we found a nice quiet cafe for a late lunch - Roddy laybbeside us on his blanket - such a good boy xxx We have left Roddy in the car a couple of times, always where I could see him and ventilation with a couple of the windows slightly open ofcourse - he’s ok but does have a habit of talking (his little bark !) whilst we’ve been gone on and off ! Doesn’t settle down for a sleep at the moment but then this is all new to him so I’d say he was practicing staying by himself ! He’s fine when I’ve been back to him, not really flustered but very pleased to see me !!! Roddy prefers to be with his people given a choice !
