Banjo was his usual cheerful self this afternoon, we had quite a long walk. At one point we did have another dog following us but this didn't seem to worry Banjo at all as it was on a lead and didn't react to him. He is such a lovely easy boy to be with, I just hope that special someone will see him and want to have him in their life. Fingers and everything crossed little fella. :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif: :crossfingers.gif:

This lovely lad was a bit cheeky this afternoon when we were walking outside at the outset he spotted a bag full of toys, he stopped to have a good rummage through and found a particular toy he liked which he carried for a few seconds then dropped. On our way back we had a couple of loose out of control dogs charge towards us which did faze Banjo a bit, luckily the dogs did stop a few yards away as Banjo was barking which surprised them and sent them running back to their owner. He soon settled down with no further incidents. :dog_running-186.gif: :dog_running-186.gif:

We've walked Banjo most weekends since he arrived and he's come on so so beautifully. He would thrive in the right home.

When he arrived he didn't want to walk down paths he wasn't sure about or didn't know. Only a few weeks ago he didn't want to go down to the stream. Yesterday we walked him and he's leading the way, not pulling at all but confident about where's he's going so we thought we'd see if he would like the stream again and he did. Had a little sip of water and put his front paws in. It's obvious how much he's growing in confidence.

He does make me laugh, when he thinks yoir e turning around and considers the walk wasn't long enough he just sits down and looks at you all "excuse me I'm not tired yet". Little darling, no one can resist those big eyes.

He's still very dog reactive but I find holding him close or putting my arm around his chest helps him calm down. In his forever home with the right trust established I'm sure he'd continue to grow in confidence.

I hadn’t been dog walking for a couple of weeks and so was looking forward to taking Banjo out this afternoon. He didn’t fail to put a smile on my face. He really is a great little dog and I agree with the previous comment, he would certainly benefit and flourish in the right setting. bighug.gif

Banjo and I went for another walk this afternoon. At the start we had to wait for a dog to go by, Banjo did create a bit but once it had passed by he soon settled down and carried on his way. He is an easy boy to manage due to his size so despite these occasional outbursts it does not create a problem. I am sure if he socialised more he would get used to this situation. Banjo is a smashing dog. :icon_barking_dog-116.gif:

Banjo is always so pleased to be going out for his walks, despite not going out for a couple of days he behaved impeccably waiting patiently for me to attach the leads. As soon as he gets outside you can see how happy he is to be out and about. We did pass by a couple of dogs also being walked which Banjo delighted in barking at but once they had passed by he soon settled down. I do hope he will get lucky soon and find his forever home, he really deserves it. mylove.gif

Another great walk with Banjo yesterday, he had great fun rolling around the grass and we caught up on some cuddles in Poets Hut.

He is such a friendly lovely dog, hopefully his forever home is just around the corner.

As I didn’t walk last week I was hoping Banjo hadn’t already been out before I arrived at the kennels this afternoon as I missed not taking him out, luckily for me he hadn’t. He still remains vocal when other dogs pass by but I am sure that if he got used to socialising more he would soon overcome this however it isn’t a problem as he soon settles down and carries on with his walk. Banjo is a fantastic character and would make a lovely addition to the right family. Heart fill with love.gif]

Banjo really is such a happy little dog, he always gives such a wonderful welcome and is eager to get out for his walk. It was very wet and muddy under foot this afternoon not that Banjo was worried he was still as enthusiastic as always. On our way back into his kennel he found a football which he managed to pick up and carry back with him. Kiss of love.gif
