Re: Toby Shar pei DofB 01.04.14 Guildford Kenns

I took Toby about for a walk this week and I second what others have also said in this thread. He is super happy to see you when you go in his run - wriggling around and bouncing around all over the place. Harnessing was fun (and that's not a euphemism for something else - it genuinely was fun). It'...

Re: Maddie Greyhound DofB Sept 14 Guildford Kenns

I took Maddie and her kennel companion Billy out for a walk two days this week and (in a first for me) I walked them together (using a waist belt/lead). They both behaved impeccably and walked incredibly well together. My biggest worry was ending up in a big tangled mess but I needn't have worried! ...

Re: Daisy Staffie x Mastiff DofB 12.06.13 Guildford Kenns

Took Daisy out today (14 December) and had a lovely time. She's easy to harness (dropped her head to let me pop it on) and then we were off (for a slow potter with lots of sniffing). I wanted to go to the bin to drop poo bags off and she wanted to get on with her walk - with a bit of 'this way' and ...

Re: Bruno Staffie DofB 04.13 Guildford Kenns

What with the blustery weather it was a case of leads on, comfort toy in tow (a duck today) and straight down to the paddock for a play and cuddles. Once there I tucked his leads well away so he wasn't distracted (he tries to chew them) and we spent half an hour happily playing fetch in the paddock....

Re: Baxter Greyhound Lurcher DofB ?2015 Guildford Kenns

Jason and I were out with Baxter and RR King today. Baxter was his usual easy self to harness and off he toddled with Jason whilst I got King. Baxter was super excited when he saw a squirrel run along a fence nearby at the outset but settled really well and quickly once the squirrel disappeared. He ...

Re: King Greyhound Lurcher DofB 17.02.17 Guildford Kenns

I took King out for a walk today (with my hubbie and RR Baxter). After a slight reluctance to leave the familiarity of the kennels we were off. He walked well - a very slack lead most of the time - just gently pottering/ambling along and stopping to smell the hedgerow periodically. He was very conne...

Re: Dexter Staffie DofB 12.03.14 Holiday Lake District

Dexter's foster break - day 8 It turns out that today was the last day of this foster break and I'm back at the kennels. Hopefully all my forum updates will do the trick and I won't be here for much longer though ..... (paws crossed). The morning started with play in the garden and then I followed t...

Re: Dexter Staffie DofB 12.03.14 Holiday Lake District

Dexter's foster break - day 7 Today I spent the morning and late afternoon playing in the garden between the rain showers. I had my ball and orange bone and both humans with me and had a great time chasing after the ball. I was on a long lead but to be honest I forget it's there and then have to be ...
