Dolly's Story : Found stray/abandoned & unclaimed within a council pound despite being chipped family didn't come forwards : Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving their life. Dolly was spayed, she had a reaction to the suture material so our vet re-operated. Bless her she then developed a full false pregnancy and wouldn't tolerate another dog near her : Natural guarding of her 'puppies'. Dolly is spayed, chipped and fully vaccinated. Dolly was in foster near Mitcham.
PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters for at least 4 months until sure of their dogs instincts & skills, some need to be retained always on a lead, so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).
***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.
Please click for Dolly's thread for regular updates, new pictures and videos. To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

Rachel and I had a great start to the weekend meeting these two beauties (NOT Abby and Lindsey the lucky walkers) but the gorgeous Dolly & Fifi
Mum is Dolly and Fifi is the all white, both very friendly, Dolly was quite difficult to photograph as she didn't like staying still and wanted to get on with the walk
The girls were a bit reserved with me when we first met them, but soon came round and were so so friendly...
A few of Dolly...watching Cora intensely..Mmm maybe a treat in the offering A few of Fifi Fifi was quite interested in the camera And so was Dolly Did I mention Dolly like kisses and cuddles Sharing her love These two are going to be popular with the walkers

Re: Dolly 2012 Fifi 2013 Staffies Gatwick Kenns
Get ready to lose your heart, these are a smashing pair!!
We received a wonderful welcome into the kennels and the girls led Lyndsay and I a merry dance in harnessing, both were keen to get out but also alternately give us kisses! Once sorted, off we went. Dolly (with dark patches) is clearly in charge and up front, with FiFi happy to follow on wherever Dolly goes. And Dolly sings! She doesn't like to stop on her walk (as you can see from the photo shoot!) she was crooning at us throughout. Dolly loves being talked to and is very responsive to voice encouragement. A momentary pause for a stroke and chin nibble (I did the former, Dolly the latter!) and we're off again.
And FiFi, quiet, undemanding, a little lost, close at our heels.
They have some baggage to unpack, a little unnerved with leads and harnesses, just watchful but no issues, they've not been invested in, not the centre of someone's life and home, as they deserve. They're learning to trust, so want to and want to be loved, I can't see their forever home being too far away.

Re: Dolly 2012 Fifi 2013 Staffies Gatwick Kenns
Dolly had popped off to the vets this morning so it was my pleasure and delight to go out for a walk with Fifi. She is utterly adorable! This friendly and loveable girl was delighted to be going out in the sunshine to stretch her legs and she pranced delightedly through the autumn leaves and enjoyed the soft grass under her paws. Fifi loves human company and was so easy to walk, just happy to tag along wherever you are going and so appreciative of any attention and fuss she gets. Back in the kennel she was such a good girl while I fiddled with putting her cosy pajama suit back on and then she rolled over for belly rubs and cuddles. Oh my! I am utterly, completely in love with this girl!
