Cora's Story: Cora was found stray/abandoned and unclaimed within a North London council pound. Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving her life. Cora is now neutered, chipped, and vaccinations are in progress. Cora was in boarding kennels near Gatwick and then in foster with another dog whilst she awaits her new family.

If you are interested in rehoming one of our dogs, please complete our ONLINE HOMING QUESTIONNAIRE. It is always the first step in our rehoming process. Upon application, you must be ready to take in your new dog within seven days. For more detailed information, please see our Homing Process.

Please support our work and help our long stay dogs: Our minimum adoption donation is £175. This supports our continuing rescue work and is non-refundable. We exist solely due to the goodwill and donations of our supporters and volunteers. Our dogs need supportive families who will offer them patience, time and tolerance whilst they settle in their new homes. Our Rescue offers all our dogs back-up for life.

Please note: Dog laws have changed, with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to keep their dog on a lead in public spaces and manage and support its encounters with new dogs and people, so as not to place the dog's life at risk. Destruction and Control Orders are commonplace nowadays.

Cora's progress through our Rescue is below.
We work with our dogs, who often reveal a different picture and positive skills as they build trust.
Original Referral information:
Adam in Broxbourne kennels asked us if we could prep Cora for her new family and offer her a Rescue place.
Cora came into our care on the 14th December 18.

Cora is staying with us for some post spay respite so is having a quiet time tonight. Met Bertha very well at the vets and sat in the front seat on the way home as good as gold. She has had a nice meal of rice and chicken which went down a treat. Cora is very interested in her wounds at the moment so is having to wear the dreaded cone but is putting up with that very well.

Cora needs a bit of tlc and a groom and bath once her stitches are healing but her fur is naturally SO soft and fluffy and her ears and tail are something else! On first impressions she is a wonderful little girl and we look forward to getting to know her better angel13.gif]
She is already a Daddy's girl and getting spoiled rotten love4.gif

Cora has been settling in today and coming out of her shell. She slept well and went out in the garden for a wee first thing. She enjoyed her morning walk with Bertha and then we left her at home for the day. Apparently she has helped with the decorating - with a new white patch on her face to prove it lol.gif
She has also shown us her playful side with lots of ball games which she really loves. Even with her cone on she enjoys rolling a ball around indoors although when it gets behind the cone and she can't see it she looks a little confused 0002.gif]
I had a great welcome when I came in from work, she really has settled in very quickly love4.gif She has been having a little brush today as well which she seems to love and eating her food well.
Fill those homing forms in quickly - we are falling in love with her and know that her new family will too thumbs.gif

Oh we will really miss little Cora. Not 'little dog' people as a general rule but didn't she steal our hearts!
Cora today met her new family and I just know that she will be so happy with children to play ball with and make a fuss of her. She is a real diamond. Jannine and Mike came with the children who Cora was very pleased to be with, particularly Jess where I think the feeling was mutual love4.gif . I think she is going to enjoy watching the boys play football at the weekends thumbs.gif
After a walk around Earlswood Lakes, where Cora got barked at but showed how relaxed she is by not being bothered in the slightest, we headed back to the kennels to sign the paperwork and Sarah took the homing photo!
Have a wonderful life Cora, you truly deserve it. Happy Christmas to you and your new family.
