9.9.22: Dear Lynne
Just to let you know that Danny has crossed over to Rainbow Bridge.
His health had deteriorated in the last few day`s so we knew the time had come, he was put to sleep at home this morning very peacefully in our arms.

He was such a great dog, I don’t know what we will do without him, the house is so empty without him.
He had his health issue in the last year (internal tumour) but he was such a battler, very stoic, I didn’t think he would see out last year so to last nearly another year was amazing.
Thank you for rescuing him,

Love and best wishes to you, Mandy and Mike xx

Current Status: Homed
Danny is Staffierescue's Staffie of the month for June 18
Danny's Story : Found stray and taken to a vet's for identification and then his owner refused to take him back : Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. Danny is neutered; chipped and fully vaccinated. Danny was in boarding kennels near Guildford then in foster sharing with another Staffie which then became his new family.

PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces, and manage and support encounters so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).

***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.

To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

Today was my first meet and walk with Danny and what a charming dog. We calmly ambled through the kennel block and the gates then he waited for driveway to be clear. Now I could see he was full of energy so we started off at a jogging pace and built it up into a flat out sprint, after I had gained his trust.
We spotted dogs and now was the test. With a woah I pulled him up to a walk , then to a stop and with a relaxed sigh we calmly waited for dogs to pass, all the time he glanced up to ensure he was doing well.
From then on he walked to heel and he didn't react to traffic.
What a good dog Danny. Top marks.
If you are a jogger then this is the dog for you.
