Elfin needs a supportive family to offer time and tolerance to allow their new dog to settle. NB Our Rescue asks owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters, as dog law changes place dog's lives at greater risk.
Known background: "Elfin was found very tired and muddy on fields just south of Swindon with a lead trailing. We checked with neighbouring authorities, put him on social media, DogLost etc but no owner was found. He was anxious and worried when found and we believe he was dumped – this was just before Christmas 2015 so sadly the time of year to throw out the old! " We stepped forwards to offer a Rescue place and save Elfin's life. Elfin is now neutered, chipped and has begun vaccinations.

"Elfin Entire male "proper" staffie. 2/3 years old found running across fields with lead attached, appears to have been dumped. Lovely typical staffie boy. Was very scared when came in but wiggly softie now. No issues He’s been no problems in the pound, friendly wiggly boy although like most staffies is getting fed up in kennels.

Re: Elfin Staffie DOB 2013 Chessington Kenns
Elfin - the new man in my life!! He is a stunner! He is just a perfect little staffie in the neatest possible parcel - I think the technical term would be "good conformation" - he is so perfectly proportioned and neat looking with an adorable face....just how could ANYBODY dump this fellow??
Elfin is super cool - he came out of his kennel with an expression that said: "Seriously - you want me to walk in THIS....?" (The weather was foul!) but being a gent, he humoured me and trotted along on a lovely loose lead - no pulling AT ALL. Every so often he would perform a little pirouette as he walked along - so sweet and with his natty black splodges down his back he is quite comical and just all round gorgeous.
Elfin is bursting with character, slightly clown like, very chilled and with a happy-go-lucky outlook which is pretty remarkable given the upheaval in his life. Can't wait to walk him again

Elfin came out again today and yipee it was fabulous and sunny much to Elfin's relief.... I can only say positive things about this fellow - he is just such a happy, laid back boy. He swaggers along, without pulling on the lead, very content with his walking companions and stopping to sniff all the tempting smells on the way.
He also does his funnily little dance in a circle every now and again which is very endearing and made me laugh - he does have a slightly comical air about him. Back at the kennels he LOVED sitting in the sunshine (resting on my feet) having cuddles which he really enjoyed - super boy

Elfin has me well and truly hooked but I think I am not alone...he is a big hit in the kennels and has such charisma and a winning personality. He is such a pleasure to walk, and very amenable to everyone, full of fun and looking forward to the next phase of his life....onwards and upwards for Elfin!
