I thought I'd do a quick post on Kyla while I'm watching tv and she is flat out on the floor near my feet. She loves a good kip! She will doze off intermittently all evening now until it's time for proper beddy byes. When she first came she would sleep in her basket in the bedroom. Then she decided she would sleep on the bottom of the bed. Now she prefers the bedroom chair! I put her favourite comfort blanket on it. See photo.
She's feeling a bit tired today as we have been on a couple of decent walks.
I have had Kyla 19 months now. Although she needs to be managed around off lead dogs, which I find very manageable and not very rare, Kyla is a great dog. She is a very affectionate girl. I'm staggered I still have her. If a great home is found for her then that's fine. In the mean time I'm very happy to have her. I have promised her she won't be going back into kennels. :smiley-gen132.gif:

During the summer Kyla is left on her own a fair bit. She is a very good girl when left but I can't help feeling a little guilty. (Little did I think I would still be fostering her these last two summers when I brought her home to recover for a week post spay in October 2015 but that's another matter).
Anyway, a very nice couple who are near neighbours and have since become good friends after meeting them dog walking, have come to the rescue on days I am away. They lost their own Staffie recently and volunteered their services. So a couple of weeks ago after trial meetings I left Kyla's bed, food etc together with the girl herself with them for the day. Although she was pretty happy she didn't 'settle' and had to be brought back home. We now have a system that works really well. She now stays at home and my friends come to her during the day and also gets walked.
I can't emphasise enough how good she is when left....... she just goes to her basket and sleeps. love4.gif

I'm going to Cornwall for a few days and couldn't take Kyla with me unfortunately. Have just dropped her off at Chessington. She seemed perfectly happy as she trotted off with Keira (apologies if spelling incorrect).

I picked Kyla up from Chessington yesterday. Happy reunion. love4.gif She seemed happy to get out the car and check out everything in the house was as she left it. After a little sniff round the garden and a bit of toy chasing and she flopped out under a bush as it was so hot. :panting_dog-119.gif:
I love and love having Kyla and wouldnt let her down by returning her to kennels. I would foster again. Come on folks this is a great dog ,she really is. Heart fill with love.gif]

Difficult day yesterday as I had to take Kyla to Chessington where she will be for a week as I am away. She normally trots off with the kennel maid without a problem. No details but yesterday was different. Sorry Kyla.
She is a great dog. I've said it before but I can't see why she has been overlooked for so long. :smiley-confused005.gif: In the meantime I'm privileged to have her.

Well Kyla is back 'home' with me after I was away for a week. Happy reunion love4.gif Kyla loves settling into a routine. One thing she loves is lolloping around in the garden (except if it's wet when she refuses to get her paws wet).
Some pictures from earlier this morning......

Thought I would take some photos of the gorgeous Kyla in and around the garden over the weekend. I let slip to her that I had been to the 'picnic in the park' yesterday and she was most put out I didn't take her. She told me that she wanted to meet up with her RR friends. She is flat out on the sofa (see pic)at the moment no doubt dreaming about her next meal!
Kyla is a good girl.
