Ziggy to be homed separately and has a new thread
Charliebear and Ziggy were Terrierrescue's Terrier of the month for September 18
Ziggy & Charlie's Story : Both found with their owner who had been dead for a week: Other 2 dogs got a Rescue place but they were left with the police, having nowhere to place them: Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving their lives. Both are now neutered; chipped and fully vaccinated. Ziggy & Charlie was in boarding kennels nr Gatwick then for 10 days in foster with 3 other dogs whilst awaiting their new family

PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces, and manage and support encounters so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).

***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.

Please click for Ziggy & Charlie's thread for regular updates, new pictures and videos. To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

Original Referral information : We work with our dogs & often reveal a different picture & positive skills as they build trust. We were asked to take these 2 wee souls in as an emergency. They have been vet checked, neutered, wormed and had a dental.

Ziggy & Charlie arrived 7.8.18. They are obviously underweight having been starved but on small meals often to build up their strength Vx

Charlie and Ziggy are really scared and worried about their new situation but despite this they were very brave boys as Louise and I attempted to put a harness on each of them. (due to my complete incompetence, Ziggy's harness didn't quite get on right so it looks a bit funny in some of the photos. He was just too worried to let me adjust, bless him) Once out these two stuck close together for reassurance as we took a short walk through the long grass and sat with them for a while. They both posed beautifully for the camera despite their worries but they did get spooked when we suddenly got up to walk on again. They are such a cute little duo, they will be adored by our volunteer walkers who will slowly magic away their worries with love and kindness, while they wait for a new home and a new beginning.

Ziggy is the wee little one and Charlie is Charlie bear, the fluffy one love4.gif
They are adorable, doubly adorable as they as so devoted to each other love4.gif love4.gif

Both Charlie and Ziggy are nervous of sudden movements but a short walk to the poets hut with them revealed much more comfortable woofers, Charlie hopped onto my lap and properly enjoyed a stroke and tickle, Ziggy the same love4.gif

Charlie & ziggy have come to us to have a little break from kennels. They are a little nervous at the moment so we are taking things slow with my boys. but they have been brilliant with me and have enjoyed some cuddles.
We have also spent some time in the garden and charlie just couldn't resist a game of fetch :dog_running-186.gif:

These two are adorable! they have only been here a few hours and i'm starting to see the fun, loving little dogs they are.
Charlie loves playing with toys and happily had a good old chew on a nylabone i gave him, while Ziggy just loves cuddles at the moment.
They have had 2 meals since they arrived, earlier Ziggy was nervous so I had to hand feed him but this evening he just dive in and ate it all with me standing guard as given the chance Charlie would muscle in.
Here they are trying out their new beds love4.gif

It’s really heartwarming to see how relaxed and comfortable these two are at Milliemoos in such a short time. I had the pleasure of transporting them from Gatwick where they were a little unsure of what was happening to them after their unfortunate recent event. How lucky they were that RR stepped in. These two will be just fine. Great job Milliemoo.........hope you get some sleep!

Actually John I had a lovely sleep as these two settled lovely last night! I made up two crates side by side and placed them next to my bed and they slept soundly all night woo.gif]
They have a chilled day today with lots of cuddles and charlie happily playing with his toys.
We've been on two short walks, both dogs are nervous when out on walks Charlie more than Ziggy but i'm sure as they settle they will get more confident.
they really are little cuties love4.gif love4.gif
