Cherry's Story : Found stray/abandoned & unclaimed within a council pound: Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place. Cherry is now neutered; chipped and fully vaccinated. She was found with elastic bands around her tail and our vet needed to take her tail off whilst she was spayed. Cherry is in foster with 3 dogs, cats and horses.

PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces, and manage and support encounters so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).

***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.

[/url] To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

Oh Cherry, poor little girl!

Yes folks that's the horrible, stupid, greedy, illegal way it's done. When the pups are too big to sell as Jachahuahuas (or their ears don't stand up, or something) they're "docked" to pass them off as Jack Russells. The elastic bands are meant to cut off the circulation and the dead end of the tail is supposed to just drop off (never mind what the dog feels). If they no longer look cute in an online ad or anything goes wrong - such as the "docking" being far too late and/or botched - they're dumped.

Welcome to a better world Cherry ... love4.gif

Lucy & William adopted Cherry today to join Cracker, Luca and their zillions of cats. She will settle very well we are sure and be truly loved.

Our thanks to Gwen for taking her in when she really needed her, our vets for offering her first class and timely care. Cherry is now in a special home
