George's Story: Found stray/abandoned a year ago and homed in with an elderly lady whose carers have objected to him: Rescue Remedies offered a Rescue place saving his life. George is neutered; chipped & fully vaccinated. George was in boarding kennels in Guildford

PLEASE NOTE: Dog laws have changed with zero public tolerance and prejudice against bull breeds and terriers. Our Rescue asks new owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters for at least 4 months until sure of their dogs instincts & skills, most of our dogs will need to be retained always on a lead, so as not to place dog's lives at risk, (Destruction or Control Orders are common place nowadays).

***PLEASE HELP OUR LONG STAY DOGS: Our min. adoption donation £175, which supports our work and Is non returnable. We will offer an alternative dog should our dog not settle given adequate time and reassurance. Rescue Remedies offers their dogs back up for life and exist on the goodwill of our supporters and volunteers.

Please click for George's thread for regular updates, new pictures and videos. To apply to home a dog, you must be ready within 7 days and complete a homing questionnaire submitted Online We work fast to secure our dogs their loving homes and can be talking to up to 10 families at any one time. Please remain open: We have the dogs we have. Our dogs need a supportive family to offer patience, time & tolerance to allow them to settle.

Original Referral information : We work with our dogs & often reveal a different picture & positive skills as they build trust. 08.03.17: Hi Lynne, Have some dogs looking for space if you have any....
George - Homed to a lady last year everything was fine and the family adored him. Sadly lady's health took turn for worse and she has been having carers in to help her, one carer really didn't like George and made complaint and care company wanted him rehomed or they would remove the care. Family where heart broken. He is lovely & had no problems at all with him. xxMikey

George is an absolutely darling dog...think he will fly out this week so dont bother putting in a homing questionnaire unless you are prepared to get in your car.

Walked this lovely boy this morning. Enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air, stopping to sniff at everything! A little pull on the lead at first, but, as he is a small chap, it was not a problem. George had an initial bark at one dog, but after that was fine. George not overly interested in treats, just eager to be out! Smashing boy.

I met this little chap on Tuesday and we had a lovely walk with John who was walking Edie .He is smaller than he looks in his pictures. He was very eager to be off on his walk and was quite happy to trail behind Edie . He knows sit and he liked mini sausage treats. He is a friendly chap and walks well on the lead . Such a shame he finds himself in rescue bless him xx

Had a lovely sunny walk with George this afternoon. He's such a happy little character! We sat down and he was straight in for a cuddle and a treat. Very easy on the walk, no reaction to any dogs, bikes or kids that we met. He's just got such a scruffy little face - so cute!

George and I had a nice walk today, he walks well on the lead just trotting along happily beside you. He's happier keeping a distance from other dogs, just not interested in them. He's a cute scruffy little dog, I'm sure he'll find a home in no time.

I walked George this afternoon. What a cute little mop! Friendly with other dogs and people. He pulled on the lead a bit but he's a small dog so easy to control. Bless his beardy little face!

The fluffy scruff George is in Guildford! We had a great walk on Sunday with Codi. We settled into a very nice pace and George had a lovely spring in his step. He does a very good gentle sit (loves a treat) and likes affection. He and Codi walked well behind/ in front of each other. We walked past a few other dogs which didn't bother George at all. Check out his fluffy scruffy photos - hopefully he's off to a lovely home very soon :goodluck.gif:
